MathLim Trainer

A free open mathematical analysis trainer created for Perm State University.

The task

Studying mathematical analysis from scattered study guides and static examples is hard: there is not enough practice, feedback or clear structure.

The goal was an open service that connects theory, task generation and step-by-step analysis in one environment - leading the student through the solution instead of giving away the answer.

Guiding through the solution, not solving for the student

An interactive study guide, task generation and step-by-step hints in one place.

The solution

We designed the service on a modern architecture and implemented the MVP: an interactive study guide on integrals built with the ladder method, task generation based on course materials, and a mentor mode powered by a user-parametrizable neural network via an OpenAPI-compatible agent.

  • Interactive study guide on integrals
  • Task generation based on materials
  • Step-by-step solutions and mentor mode
  • User-parametrizable neural network (OpenAPI-compatible agent)

Our contribution

Designed the service on a modern architecture and implemented the MVP: frontend, backend, integration of a user-parametrizable neural network via an OpenAPI-compatible agent, guest mode, and secure storage of user data. Fully developed the study guide for learning integrals using the ladder method based on the theoretical foundation of open educational materials. The project is free and open, created on the initiative of Script Agency for Perm State University.

The result

The MVP is ready and undergoing beta testing: the integrals study guide was written from scratch, and the architecture allows new course sections to be added without reworking the interface.
